Population Health 2022 Onwards: The Growth of Population Health in Europe

Population health may not be a term you’ve heard of before, but it is one that you are bound to come across more frequently in coming years.

Why? Well, COVID-19 exacerbated global health inequalities and placed tremendous financial pressure on healthcare systems. Such forces have left healthcare systems desperate for innovative solutions to ensure they remain sustainable and are able to service the healthcare needs of their respective populations.

As such, we believe that population health will become a key feature in the next five years, influencing policy, drug development and access, commercial health management, and digital innovations.

However, the term “population health” can mean many things. So, what does it mean to European payers and stakeholders, and how will this new focus change the perception of what constitutes “value” in the healthcare and life sciences sector in 2022?
